I called Google. The problem is on their end. Delete the student’s profile. Here’s the reply: “This is a due a profile corruption issue that we have identified affecting specific profiles on Chromebooks. Engineering is already working on a fix which we expect to have available for the release of the next Chrome OS version as the latest, however, they are aiming to release a patch for version 68

So at my school, the grades who never had a profile on the Chromebook last year are ok. Students who have the same Chromebooks and a profile are having the problem.

Keep those Chromebooks up to date:

How To Manually Update & Keep Chromebooks Up To Date

Chrome Book Won’t Login

It may be a disk space issue. The disk space issue is resolved by upgrading Chrome OS. It is supposed to be automatic however you may have to do it manually. Or get a bunch of kids to do it as a batch.

1) Menu=>Help=>About Chrome OS
2) Click: Check for Updates

If the disk is already full so you can’t log in then you will need to wipe the drive then upgrade.
